Back To The Big Apple

Back to the Big Apple!!!!!

May 30-June 3, 2013

Well, here we are!!!  Back to NYC!!! This is the girl's 2nd trip.  Jimmy, David, Kendall, Anna Caroline, Camille, and I flew up on May 30, 2013.  We mainly came to see Annie the Musical and Cinderella the musical. We wanted to see Annie because Anna Caroline played the part of Annie in Providence Christian's Annie the Musical.  It was the same exact play and songs. Another reason for the trip was that David had never been, so we made a family trip that was unforgetable!
Cinderella was awesome.  And, there was "REAL MAGIC" in it.  Kendall, the girls, and I went to see it while Jimmy and David took the Harbor Lights Cruise around Manhattan Island.

We went to a Yankee game at Yankee Stadium.  But, it got rained out in the 7th inning.  It was fun anyway. We did encounter an awful storm while leaving.  We got stranded in the stadium until the storm blew over, then we made a dash for the subway to get back to the Marriott.
We took a stroll through Central Park.  And it was hot!!!
We went to the World Trade Center Memorial.

We had pizza at Lombardi's.  This is the first pizza place in New York.
 And of course, Times Square.
 Our Annie, Anna Caroline!
Looking at the Empire State building from the Top of the Rock.
Central Park from the Top of the Rock.

 We visited Wall Street.....
 And the official Yankee Store......
 And Chinatown!

Grandaddy had a great time too!!!

And we always have to visit the American Girl Store.

We Love NY!!!!!  This will not be the last time!

 Ready to fly!
When we arrived in Washington, we took a walk from the hotel to the White House, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, the World War II Memorial, and the Korean Memorial.

We drove up to Newark, New Jersey, parked the car at the airport, then took the train into NYC.  This was Matt, Will, and Reid's first time in the big city.

Next Stop-Amish Country
We left New York City and headed to Pennsylvania to Bird-In-Hand.  We took a buggy ride around Amish Country and our driver told us all about the way of life.  We also rode around the area and looked at the beautiful farms and crops.  We were amazed at how pretty the corn was.

We had a family style meal at an Amish restaurant.  Will and Reid said it was their favorite meal of the whole trip.
This was the buggy we took the ride on.

The crops were so green.  They had a lot of rainfall.
Matt enjoyed talking to the Amish man.
This was an Amish family pulling into their house.

Last Stop-Baltimore
After leaving Amish Country we headed to Baltimore.
While there we explored the Baltimore Inner Harbor, toured Fort McHenry, and went to a Baltimore Orioles game.
